We plan a wide range of events including fun and elegant picnics, proposals, intimate weddings, corporate events, birthdays, anniversaries, indian pre-wedding cultural celebrations and more. Check out "Our Services" and "Signature Picnics" tabs for more information. 


Gifting Kindness 


We believe in creating a kinder and more beautiful world by helping someone who is struggling and could use some respite. 


We invite to purchase a beautifully curated picnic (3 hour/ up to 4 guests). We will match 50% of the cost of this picnic as our gift. 


We support pay it forward acts of kindness to make this world a beautiful place for all of us. 


All policies pertaining to picnic experiences apply. 


Our pricing varies depending on the type of event, services required, and other custom factors. Contact us for a personalized quote. 


Our picnic packages are based on a 3 hour experience. Prices vary based on number of guests and other options.   Prices listed do not include enhancements & activities, taxes and travel fees, where applicable. 


Picnics and enhancements should be purchases online only after you have secured your booking date with us and have received a confirmation email. 


Travel Fees


We do not charge a travel fee within 15 miles radius* of our East Lyme CT office. 

Any travel outside a 15 mile  radius requires a $100 base fee plus $3.00 per mile over the 50 mile radius. 


*We use Ways Navigation app to calculate miles.


Parking & Entrance Charges


  • Client is responsible for paying all entrance and parking fees to the event location. 


Special Celebration Events


  • Contact us with details of your event such as dates, venue, guest count, and type of event, special requests and budget if known and check availability. 
  • Schedule a planning session 
  • Get a personalized quote 
  • Place a date hold - we hold your date for up to 48 hours from time of quote.
  • Secure booking - 50% deposit secures your date and is due upon booking. 75% is due 60 days prior to your event and 100% is due 30 days prior. 


Picnics


  • Contact us with details of your picnic such as dates, location where you would like to host your picnic, guest count, and type of celebration, special requests and check availability. 
  • Schedule a planning session 
  • Select picnic package 
  • Place a date hold - we hold your date for up to 48 hours from time of quote.
  • Secure booking - with full payment online.  
  • Add any Enhancements / Activities - payment online 30 days prior to Picnic. 


Safety & Security

  • Creating a beautiful experience requires the use of valuable decor items. Clients are responsible for any loss & damages incurred during rental . 
  •  A member of your party must remain with the set up at all times to ensure decor safety. 


Our picnic package have options to add enhancement items like beautifully adorned charcuterie boards, fruit platters, select drinks and desserts at additional cost. Check out our Enhancement tab for a complete list and prices.  Enhancements are purchased online after you have secured a booking with a confirmation email from us. All Enhancements must be purchased 30 days in advance. 


Lets us know if you have any special dietary restrictions. 


Customers bringing their own food and beverage, are responsible for packing / disposing of these items at time of departure. 


Unleash your creativity and make your picnic an unforgettable event by adding a self-guided painting experience. We provide all the supplies you will need to paint and a variety of designs to choose from or you can bring your own, making it a unexpected delightful surprise for your guests. $30/pp includes design, canvas, paint and brushes. 


Add a game of cornhole to your event to spark great conversations and friendly competition, making it a memorable event. $30 per set of Cornhole Boards.


Create a whimsical atmosphere at your Picnic event with Bubbles. Bubbles will enchant guests with mesmerizing soap bubbles for a truly memorable experience. $3.00 /pp.


Activities are purchased online after you have secured a booking with a confirmation email from us. All Activities must be purchased 30 days in advance. 



Inclimate Weather 

Weather elements such as rain,  thunderstorms or strong winds, can cause havoc on any well planned celebration. We consider any Inclement weather with a chance of precipitation to be 30% or higher and can reschedule to a later date, based on availability. 


Plan B

We understand that New England weather can be unpredictable. Therefore, we ask that you have a plan B in place for any outdoor event bookings, including picnics. This will be included in your proposal. 


We offer full price credit in these situations to be used at a later date within one year from your scheduled event based on availability.


Any third party rental policies apply to any specialized outside rentals. 


Special Celebrations 

  • We require 3 - 4 hour time window to set up prior to the event and the same for breaking down the event. 
  • Clients are responsible to ensure that the select Venue can accomodate this time frame and it must be stated as such. 

Picnics 

  • Picnics are scheduled as a three hour event. 
  • Start and End times are stated at the time of booking. 
  • Late Arrival  reduces your picnic time experience, therefore it is highly advised to be prompt to get the most of your picnic experience.  Our team will remain at the picnic set up and greet you upon arrival. 
  • Early Departure  - Leaving the picnic earlier than the scheduled end time is at the client's discretion. Clients must remain with the picnic until a Team member arrives.  


We want your experience to be memorable. This requires us to plan and set up based on venue or picnic location. Since we require a site tour, any location changes must be pre-approved with a 60 days advance notice. 


Special Celebrations & Picnics 


  • We highly recommend obtaining insurance for your event. 
  • We understand unforeseen circumstances are a part of life, therefore we will apply the deposit towards another date within one year's time from your booked event. A new date must be selected within 5 days from date of cancellation. 
  • We have a 90 days cancellation policy if another date is not selected within 5 days of cancelling. 
    • The initial 50% deposit to secure the date is non-refundable. 
    • Monies paid in excess the initial 50% is subject to refund as follows: 
      • Events cancelled within 90 days of event date are refunded 25%.
      • Events cancelled within 60 days of event date are refunded 10% .
      • Refunds are not issues for events cancelled less than 60 days of event date.
  • All cancellation requests must be submitted by email to designanddecorrentals@gmail.com. Phone or text messages are not accepted for cancellations.
